Itinerary
The crossing itinerary begins on december 22nd 2020 on the historical city of Cartagena (Colombia) and is intended to end on june 2021, completing a 360 round on the Caribbean.
The crossings are divided on 18 steps, that last from 5 up to 15 days, and from 100 to 1000 miles navigated.

The Vessel
Our sailboat, Pura Vida II, is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49ft, built in 2005, it's’ an excellent cruise boat, safe and fast. It's completed an entire cruise around the world with it's first owner and is ready and set for the second trip with us. It is the perfect boat for crossings, it has all the collective and individual safe equipment, navigation, communication and salvation system, with backup. It also provides a lot of comfort as well as inside and outside space.
We offer 2 stearn cabins, up to 4 guests
Acommodation and Food
Gather up to 4 friends and have a private boat for you, daily rates starting at U $ 125.00 per person / day.
We offer 2 stearn cabins with double beds, for up to 4 guests. It can be single or double. If your group is composed by 3 or 4 guests the boat is automatically private.
The sailboat has excellent internal space, full equipped kitchen, card room with dining table and television, 2 bathrooms and 3 cabins.
Food on board includes breakfast during all days of the stay, lunch and dinner only during the crossings.
When anchored, we give preference to typical food at local restaurants, and the costs of it are up to each crew member.
Alcoholic drinks are not included (you can bring your own if you'd like)
Crew
Captain Peter Frank, Brazilian, passionate about sailing and the sea, nature lover, practices surfing, free diving, sub-fishing, SUP and assists crew members in the practice of kite-surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, always sharing knowledge and experiences of ocean sailing and navigation.

Sports and entertainment
We are sailors, the sea is our habitat, and water sports our passion, among the possibilities of practicing sports are:
Ocean Sailing: let's sail and learn together as much as possible these days on board. Navigation, equipment, rudder shifts.
Kite Surf: Bring your kite, it is very lively, we help you take off the sailboat, and we use the support dingui to make the most of it! (we do not teach, we are not teachers), but we take you to the best spots!
Surf: it's our beach, Peter is a surfer and André is a bodyboarder. You can bring your board, or use one of ours, (we have two on board).
Free Diving and Snorkeling: we know incredible spots that remain untouched, far from commercial access, where snorkeling and freediving are on another level.We have snorkel and duck feet, but for the sake of comfort and adaptation, we recommend that you bring your own equipment.
Spearfish: we practice Selective sub fishing, always respecting local laws, and common sense. If you have a group of divers, talk to us, we have perfect crossings for sub fishing, we take you to the best fishing grounds. (we have 4 spearguns on board for use)
Scuba Diving: in several trips we have the possibility of practicing autonomous diving, using the structure of local Dives Centers, we do not have equipment or compressors on board.
SUP: we have two inflatable paddle boards for the practice of standup, which is highly recommended in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean.
Fishing: We have 2 basic fishing equipment that are available to the crew, if you are a fan we recommend bringing your own equipment, it will be very worthwhile!

What the daily rate includes: Captain and Cook, private cabin, all meals during crossings, breakfast at anchors or marinas, non-alcoholic drinks, boat consumables such as diesel, petrol from the boat, some of our fun equipment such as snorkel, duck feet, Stand Up paddle boards and arbaletes.
What is not included: Internet, marinas, visas, immigration fees, marine reserve fees, kite equipment and scuba diving. Food on islands and restaurants during periods of non-crossing.
Desired attitude: in this crossing we look for people with a positive attitude and good humor, to help in the sailing, cooking, cleaning and maintenance of the sailboat. We propose a real experience of crossing and life aboard.
Reservations: Your trip reservation is made with a 15% of the total price bank transfer in Panama or Brazil, the remaining 85% must be paid in cash on boarding. There are no rescheduling fees if you need to change your trip due to circumstances related to COVID-19. Your trip can be rescheduled within 24 months of the start date of the original trip, based on mutually agreed dates on Sailboat Pura Vida II or any of 30 SailBoatTrips.com boats and different destinations.
Safety and prevention measures for covid 19 are taken and respected, such as thorough cleaning and disinfection of the boat, goods, luggage, supply of alcohol and masks, temperature check at each shipment, Covid test for Captain and sailor before the start of the trip. Social distancing measures must be respected in all crossings.
