with over 360 islands the archipelag is setted in Panama, at the caribbean sea. It is a part of the indian county of Guna Yala. Less than 50 islands are inhabited, wich leaves most of them almost untouched and paradisiacs!

The official name to the place is Guna Yala (or Kuna Yala) and since 1925 they stand as an autonomous indian county.

besides the islands there is a huge untouched and virgin forest.

For being a indian terriroty it is not allowed for anyone to make investiments there. The only ones allowed to live in is this land is the kuna people.

therefore there it doesant count with infrastructure, abundance of mineral water, loosely eletricity, cell phone service or internet.

San Blás is for those who crave for a unique experience totally tuned with nature.

Guna Yala People

For Gunas the land is the mother of all things. It is the guardian of everything there isand it represents the spirit, the strenght and the power of their culture.

Therefor it is so important for these people to take care of their environment and not abuse it. this has always been their main strugle, keep their autonomy and protect the land they live in.

This is how they have mannaged to spend their years preserving their culture and biological diversity of this place.

Meeting the Kunas and their culture is like a throwback in time or going to a museum where you can be a part of the history.

Fishing and Handicraft

The Guna indians keep alive their traditions where women has the authority over the family by taking care of home where they make the basic functions.
But it's on the crafts that they realy come to life! they produce their own springs, wich are multicolored pads with drawings that reflect their daily culture.

Women are super vain and use ornaments made of gold, colorful necklaces and bracelets that they use on their arms and legs.

Meanwhile men are in charge of fishing and trading.
